Your file never leaves this device. Everything runs in your browser.
How it works
- Drop a video or an image.
- Pick a platform, or All to see the area that's safe everywhere.
- Scrub through the video and check that no text or face sits in the shaded areas.
Questions
What's the TikTok safe zone?
Roughly 130 px at the top, 484 px at the bottom and 140 px on the right of a 1080 × 1920 video, as measured from TikTok's templates. A longer caption covers more of the bottom.
Does TikTok publish exact numbers?
No. It publishes template images and says the safe area depends on the caption and any extra ad formats.
Where do these numbers come from?
Meta publishes safe zones for Reels and Stories. TikTok and YouTube publish template images rather than numbers, so theirs are measured by third parties from those templates. Each platform's source is linked under the preview, and the whole table is free to reuse.
Are these the same for regular posts and ads?
The platforms publish these zones for ads. Regular posts get close to the same interface, but TikTok's covered area grows with a long caption, so leave extra room there.
Does my video get uploaded?
No. It's drawn in your browser, on your device.
My video isn't 9:16. What happens?
The apps show it with bars above and below, and the checker does the same. The Resize tool turns it into 9:16.
