Post photos 1080 pixels wide. In the app, Instagram keeps any shape from 1.91:1 (1080 × 566) to 3:4 (1080 × 1440); ads and the API stop at 4:5 (1080 × 1350). A carousel holds up to 20 photos and videos in one orientation.
