Mute a video
Drop a video and get the same video back with no sound. The picture is copied as it is, not re-encoded, so it takes seconds and loses nothing.
Your file never leaves this device. Everything runs in your browser.
How it works
- Drop your video.
- Check it's the right one, then press Mute.
- Download the silent video, in the same format as the original.
Questions
Does muting lose quality?
No. The video is copied packet by packet, exactly as it was, and only the sound is left out. Nothing is re-encoded.
What format do I get?
The one you dropped: an MP4 stays an MP4, a MOV stays a MOV, a WebM stays a WebM and an MKV stays an MKV.
Is there a length limit?
Files up to 2 GB, and no limit on length, because nothing is re-encoded.
Does my video get uploaded?
No. The sound is removed in your browser, on your device.
Which browsers does it work in?
Current Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox. Nothing is re-encoded, so it works even in a browser that can't make MP4 video.
