Merge videos

Drop your clips, put them in order and get one MP4. A clip of another shape keeps its own, with black bars, and nothing leaves your device.

Your file never leaves this device. Everything runs in your browser.

How it works

  1. Drop two or more videos, or add them a few at a time.
  2. Put them in the order they should play. The first one sets the shape.
  3. Merge, then download the MP4.

Questions

What size is the merged video?

The first clip's shape and size, brought down to 1920 pixels on its long side if it's bigger. Move another clip to the top to use its shape instead.

What happens to clips of a different shape?

They're scaled to fit inside the picture whole and centred, with black bars at the sides or above and below. Nothing is stretched or cropped.

Can I merge clips from different phones or apps?

Yes. Every clip is re-encoded to H.264 at the first clip's frame rate, and its sound to AAC at 48 kHz stereo, so sizes, frame rates and formats can differ. A clip with no sound plays silence for its length. A clip this browser can't play is left out, and the tool says which one and why.

Is there a limit?

Up to 20 clips of up to 2 GB each, and 15 minutes in total, because the picture is re-encoded and the result is held in memory.

Does anything get uploaded?

No. The clips are joined in your browser, on your device.
