Trim a video

Drag the handles to the part you want and save it. Fast mode doesn't re-encode, so the quality stays exactly the same.

Your file never leaves this device. Everything runs in your browser.

How it works

  1. Drop your video.
  2. Drag the two handles, or type the times, and play the selection to check it.
  3. Trim, then download.

Questions

Does trimming lose quality?

Not in Fast mode: it copies the video as it is, without re-encoding. Exact mode re-encodes, at high quality.

Why doesn't Fast start exactly where I put it?

Without re-encoding, a video can only start on a keyframe, a full picture the others build on. Fast starts at the keyframe just before your start and tells you where that is. Exact starts on the frame you chose.

Does my video get uploaded?

No. The cut happens in your browser, on your device.

Can I remove the sound?

Yes. Tick Remove sound before you trim.
