Tell Kuro what matters most
Choose best quality, balanced or lowest cost for images and for shorts once, and every assistant on your account picks its models to match.

Every assistant that makes things in Kuro has to pick a model, and the right one depends on you: the best result whatever it costs, a strong one for a fraction of the price, or the cheapest that does the job. You may want the best images and something more modest for your shorts. Until now each assistant had to guess, or ask you again in every conversation.
Asked once, remembered everywhere
The first time you ask for an image, your assistant asks one short question: best quality, balanced, or lowest cost, with what each one costs. The first time you ask for a short, it asks the same about clips. Your answers are saved on your Kuro account, not in one chat, so Kuro’s own assistant, Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and every other agent connected to your account read them and never ask again.
Change them in Settings
Open Settings → Agents to see or change both choices, one for Images and one for Shorts, under When an agent picks a model. Best quality takes the strongest model for each job, Balanced a strong model for much less, and Lowest cost the cheapest model that does the job, which suits drafts and volume. Each choice picks from the benchmark.
The same page holds When an agent creates, the order in which your provider keys and your Kuro credits pay for what an agent makes. It used to sit with your keys; it now sits beside the model choice, since both are what an agent does on its own.
A model you name yourself always wins. And when your choice costs more than you have, the assistant takes the best model you can afford and tells you so.
