## How it works

1. Drop your video.
2. Scrub to a moment and use the arrows to step one frame at a time, or press Suggest thumbnails.
3. Grab the frames you like and save them as PNG or JPG.

## Questions

### What resolution are the images?

The video's own full resolution, the right way up.

### How are thumbnails suggested?

The tool looks at 32 frames across the video, skips black, white and blurry ones and near-duplicates, and shows the six sharpest.

### PNG or JPG?

PNG keeps every pixel exactly. JPG is much smaller and fine for a thumbnail. YouTube takes either, under 2 MB for most uploads.

### Does my video get uploaded?

No. Frames are read in your browser, on your device.
