# Wan 3.0 Prime

Alibaba · Shorts · standard

The same Wan 3.0 surface at roughly a third of the wait, for about 1.4 times the rate.

## What it costs

- 5s · 480p: 28.5 credits (≈ $0.68)
- 5s · 720p: 58.5 credits (≈ $1.39)
- 5s · 1080p: 117 credits (≈ $2.78)

Dollar figures are approximate, at the Starter plan's rate of $19.00 for 800 credits.

## What it takes

- **Aspect ratios**: 16:9 9:16 1:1 4:3 3:4
- **Resolutions**: 480p 720p 1080p
- **Duration**: 2–30 seconds
- **Reference images**: Not accepted
- **Last frame**: Accepted

## When to reach for it

The same model, the same inputs, the same thirty seconds at 1080p — bought faster. Prime is Wan 3.0's speed rail: roughly three times the turnaround for about 1.4 times the rate, with nothing else about the request changed. A prompt, an optional first frame, two to thirty seconds, five aspect ratios plus Auto, and 480p, 720p or 1080p.

That makes choosing between the two a scheduling decision rather than a creative one. Standard Wan is the cheaper way to explore, and exploring is where the money goes, because it is the phase with the most takes in it. Prime is what to reach for when a single render stands between you and the rest of the edit, or when a long 1080p take on the standard rail would mean waiting several minutes for a shot you already know is right.

The same limits apply and are worth restating: no reference images, no last frame, no generated sound. It renders what the prompt and the opening frame describe, and matching existing material is not what it is for. Seedance 2.5 takes references, and is where to go when the shot has to sit beside footage you already have.

## How to prompt Wan 3.0 Prime

Wan 3.0 Prime is the same model with the same prompts and inputs as Wan 3.0, returning in roughly a third of the wait. Use it when someone is waiting on the result; when nobody is, the standard model gives the same picture.
