# save_voice

**Save, rename or remove a voice**

Save a provider's voice to the account by its id (provider + provider_voice_id, named by the provider unless you pass name), rename a saved one (voice_id + name), or take one off the shelf (voice_id + remove: true).

## Scope

- `generation.write` — Makes, edits, imports, shares and deletes media in the account.

## Behaviour

- **Writes**: Creates or changes items in the caller's own account.
- **Can delete or overwrite**: Can delete, overwrite, cancel or withdraw something the caller already has, so a host should confirm it.
- **Reaches outside**: Saving reads the voice's name and labels from its provider.
- **Idempotent**: Calling it again with the same arguments has no further effect.
