# get_recipe

**Get recipe**

Get one recipe by id — a look or a guided recipe, with its recommended models, creative guidance, and media slots. A guided recipe's provider prompt template remains private, and so do a reprompt recipe's rules: it says only whether the model that writes its prompt looks at your pictures. A run recipe answers its `run_inputs` and a `step_count`, never its steps; to author one, start from the definition in create_recipe's description.

## Scope

- `recipes.read` — Reads the public catalog and the account's own recipes.

## Behaviour

- **Read-only**: Reads the caller's own account and changes nothing.
- **Stays in the account**: Stays inside the caller's private Kuro account: any media provider it calls acts on Kuro's account, and the result is visible to no one else.
- **Idempotent**: Calling it again with the same arguments has no further effect.
