# generate_with_own_model

**Generate with an own model**

Run one of the account's own models on its own key: pick a mode (endpoint + slot from list_own_models), a prompt, files per media field as { generation_id } or { upload_id }, and the mode's other inputs by field name. Costs no credits; the vendor bills the key. Returns the generation; read it with get_generation.

## Scope

- `generation.write` — Makes, edits, imports, shares and deletes media in the account.

## Behaviour

- **Writes**: Creates or changes items in the caller's own account.
- **Adds or updates**: Adds or updates; nothing the caller already has is deleted or overwritten.
- **Reaches outside**: Sends the prompt and files to the model's vendor on the account's own key.

What the tool's description says about credits, verbatim:

- Costs no credits; the vendor bills the key.
